The UW in Seattle features a campus renowned for its beauty in the midst of a vibrant, multicultural city. Founded in 1861, approximately a decade after the founding of Seattle, the University of Washington is one of the oldest universities on the West Coast.

Link Light Rail

The Link Light Rail runs from Sea-Tac to the UW campus. Trains run every 10 minutes from Sea-Tac and take approximately 45 minutes to reach the UW campus. Board the train bound for Northgate Station. There are two stops: one on the south side of campus at Husky Stadium (Montlake Boulevard and NE Pacific Street). The next station stop at the northwest boundary is the U District Station (43rd and Brooklyn Avenue). For more information, check out this link.


App Based Ride Shares

Lyft, Uber, and Wingz are ride share options at SeaTac. Rides to UW will cost approximately $60.00. Once you arrange for your ride, proceed to the Ground Transportation Plaza on the 3rd floor of the parking garage. Follow the signs to the TNC/Rideshare pickup in Sections G, H, I and J.

All Seattle taxi cabs operate at the same rate, set by King County. Currently, the meter drop is $2.50 plus $2.50 per mile. Extra person charges may apply. A ride from the airport to the University District will have a fare of about $55. Taxi cabs are available on the 3rd floor of the parking garage. Parking on campus

Visitor parking is available for a daily fee throughout the campus. The most convenient location will be the Central Campus Garage. However, visitors are strongly encouraged to opt for one of our many public transportation options. Find more UW visitor parking here.
